Cycle Craft's Parking-Lot-a-Palooza -- rescheduled to July 25

This idea that started out as a bike swap in the Cycle Craft parking lot has been evolving into something completely different. Not too many private folks expressed interest in selling their own bike stuff in our lot but some other interesting things have developed. So far, in addition to piles of bargain bicycle stuff, there will be the Jeff Lenosky Stunt Show, Sluggo, a favorite local band, a handful of totally non-bike related vendors and, to top it all off, Quest Karate, will hold their annual Kick –A-Thon in our lot, which raises money for the Matheny Hospital. It's turning out to be a pretty unusual line up with more stuff being added all the time so you should probably make it down there just to see for yourself! The Parking-Lot-a-Palooza is rescheduled for Saturday, July 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Be there or be sorry!

Help Washington Township "Go Native"

The Washington Township Land Trust is creating a program to reintroduce native trees to the local environment. This year we will be planting the Pawpaw. The Pawpaw is highly deer resistant and we expect great success with this planting. Our first planting site will be the Mill Pond Park, situated along the South Branch of the Raritan River in Long Valley. This 28 acre park is along Columbia Trail and is easily accessible behind the old Welsh Farms property. The trees will be planted in appropriate locations throughout the park.

To "go native," sponsor one or more trees for a donation of $35.00. Sponsors will be listed on our website and also in our LaTourette Grist Mill in downtown Long Valley. Please visit our web site at www.wtlt.org to read about the Pawpaw in our "Go Native" Spring 2009 Newsletter and submit your donation
