Fireworks Saturday July 5th
The Washington Township Community Events Organization will present the third annual Long Valley Fireworks Festival on July 5 from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Long Valley Middle School.
Music for the festival will be provided by The Fabulous Split Band and Waffle House with sound production by Kennedy Events. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Following the fireworks display, Waffle House will continue playing until 11 p.m.
Long Valley restaurants will dish up summer picnic and barbeque favorites, and the Washington Township Fire Department will host a beer garden until 11 p.m. The WTCEO reminds attendees that alcohol consumption can take place only in the beer garden adjacent to the middle school property. In addition, there is no smoking on school property.
Children will have their pick of free activities. Bouncing games will be open from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Fantastic Faces will be back again to paint faces, and Sprinkles the Clown will provide entertainment. The WTCEO will be selling glow items as well as 50/50 tickets for a single drawing that evening.
Parking is $5 and begins at 5 p.m. This year the WTCEO will hand out small garbage bags for families to clean up their area before leaving. The lost child command post will be located to the side of the stage. Please leave family pets at home. Bring a blanket or chairs for seating. For more information, please contact Anne Perry at (908) 850-4475.
